Making Blogger's Dynamic Views work for you

Here's a little tutorial to help you get started with putting together a Dynamic Views blog. We'll be starting from scratch.

  1. Pick the Dynamic View that's closest to what you want.
  2. Remove the blogger navbar and any other Layout items that you don't need.
  3. Get rid of the silly "Classic Flipcard Magazine Mosaic Sidebar Snapshot Timeslide" menu with this CSS: .header-drawer {display: none;}
  4. Fix all the fonts and colours in the Advanced stuff in the Template editor
So now you're faced with a pretty ugly site that is hard to control. By that I mean... there's no easy way to turn off animations, to have pages instead of pop-ups... that kind of thing. You get the very basics of a slick, modern layout, and it's tough to make it look either slick or modern.
